The term hackathon (a combination of the words hack and marathon) was first coined in 1999 by computer programmers.  The concept of team-based problem solving competitions has been part of continuing medical education since the early 1970s.  Find out how Healthcare Hackathons are changing the face of Public Health Education by combining technology and team building to produce innovative solutions for practical problems faced by clinicians, patients and consumers.
