Kathleen McInnis celebrates 30 years in the nursing profession this year! She obtained her BS in Nursing from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN and her MS in Community Health Nursing at the University of Colorado, Health Sciences Center in Denver. She has had the opportunity to work in many settings: hospital, clinic, school nursing, medical-legal consulting, lactation education, teaching at the college level, and public health. Her experience laid the groundwork for her current passion in nonprofit work as executive director of Southwestern Colorado AHEC. Kathleen moved to rural Durango in 1991, is married and has three wonderful teenagers. She enjoys hiking, running the trails in and around Durango, cross country skiing & snow shoeing, and visiting new places, near and far.
