Sandy Behrens grew up in northwest Indiana and has worked in the healthcare profession for over 30 years.  She received her undergraduate degrees in nursing at Indiana University NW, and her BS degree in Healthcare Administration from Columbia Southern where she also obtained her MBA with a focus in Healthcare Management.  She has held many positions; most recently as Executive Director of a large community health & dental center.  During that time, the center was the host facility for a large pilot program for IPE training in Primary Care. Presently, she is the Director of the Northwest Indiana Area Health Education Center.
